I saw that TESLA is going to build a sports car. Not exact but 0-60 in 1.3? Anyway top speed 250. He said he was going to make gasoline powered cars look like they were running on steam with this car. I should have gotten the 0-60 right. It would have sounded better. No price yet. Just some xtra info

1.9, not 1.3
Basically, traction limited at all tires in all directions at all times. Incredible acceleration but the experience is very much like a full ABS lockup in reverse: brutally effective at acceleration, but not that fun to experience, or so I'm told.

Maybe they'll be able to pay for Model 3 production with all the deposits?

Tesla did a roadster originally. They didn't get volume sales until they got into the sedan. With all of the other makers doing electrically assisted sports cars, it will be interesting to see Tesla's take. Porches's mission E will beat them to market, if you consider that a sports car.
Of course, it is Tesla after all so, count on delays.

Holy crap Batman. That performance AND a 650 mile range.
BTW, 10,000 nm is 7,375 lb ft of torque.

"What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?" As a taxpayer subsidized co., why not make "PowerWheels" for adults. Who cares, you can't lose, even if you continue to hemorrhage money. Please don't think I'm some curmudgeon who hates everything new, I am in awe of the technological advances of the last decade. I'm just against taxpayer dollars being used to pick winners and losers. And yes, I realize Tesla is not the only company suckling on the taxpayer teet, but probably one of the most arrogant though.

But, hey! Tesla gets it's own parking lot in the National Harbor.
