Default Help repairing a separating armrest?

The armrests in my 2001 Z71 tahoe are pulling off the door. The vinyl and specifically the foam under the vinyl is lifting off the plastic substructure. I'm trying to figure out how to repair it but have no ideas. I looked for replacements in the junkyard but all them had the same problem Anybody have experience with this?

Also, I subscribed to a tahoe forum which is well dead nobody replies to anything. Anybody know of a good GM / Chevy truck or Tahoe forum?

Here's links to a video and some photos:

You can see on this arm rest the top and bottom is separating from the door.

Here's one I got at the junkyard and experimented with. It's pealing up from the inner plastic structure. I tried regluing the edges but they just don't have the grip to stick. I think perhaps the whole foam part is expanding somewhat yet as it dries even more?
