Man that 911 is major OK when you get it as good as that 911 you don't have to make a major overhaul ever few years to get the people to come back & still be in love with it.

They do chg the motor & interior. Just my 2 cents but then again I love that car also. Robert

50 year old design is boring. It doesn’t do anything for me. You got to admit it looks just like this -> 🐸🐸🐸. Chevy’s Corvette has had seen real innovative designs over the years. The C7 may very be their best design ever and who knows what’s in store with the C8? Now this is what I call excitement. 911...Yuck.

Obviously your entitled to your own opinion and different options make the world more interesting but the 911 has changed quite a bit in the last 53 years.......just saying

Before you put any money down on another drab, outdated design, do yourself a favor and go visit a McLaren dealership. Their cars are a lot more exciting that the Porsche and you may even save yourself a few dollars to boot. Thier cars are faster too if that matters to you. Their level of service to their customers is off the carts good.

A McLaren is far more expensive than a standard 911. And they have no backseat which is why the 911 beat out the GrandSport to begin with. They a certainly cool though.

Huge fan of the 911 just repair costs scare me. LOL Congrats, report back and let us know how the car is holding up in a bit. Love their design!

I am certain the base model 570 is a less expense than the 911. It will eat a Z06 or 911 on the track. It’s a beast and they paint the use is off the charts. You owe it to yourself and go take look at thier line. You should be able to come up with a solution to stuff the baby inside.

In Massachusetts it is illegal to put a infant seat in the front seat so you would have no choice if you lived in my state but to get the Porsche .

I checked the Texas laws and it is permissible to put a child seat in the front passenger seat as long as the vehicle is not equipped with a backseat. Also the passenger side airbag must be disabled and the child seat must be installed "in accordance with vehicle manufacturer instructions". The C7 doesn't have a airbag on/off switch but it will automatically be disabled if detects a child sitting in the seat. Based on my internet research that means anyone or anything weighing less than 70 lbs.

That being said since the front seats don't have the "LATCH" system car seat anchors one would need to attach the car seat using only the seatbelt routed through the car seat base. Although 100% legal I'm not sure that would be the best and safest way to attach the seat versus using dedicated "LATCH" anchors made specifically for car seats.

The 2013 and later model 911's are longer and wider than previous generations so Porsche was able to make the back seats actually usable for kids or VERY small adults who don't mind hunching over.

Here are some pics I found on the internet of the back of a 2013 or later 911. In the picture without the infant seat installed you can see the two little white markers on the lower part of each rear seat backrest showing where the car seat anchors are located.

I’ve heard people getting a well optioned 570 For $180K. The Porsche has traditionally played games with their pricing. They are well known for “nickeling and dimeing” you with all their numerous options. You can easily double the base price with added options.

Yeah, it's a very long bridge.

Good on the OP for buying at a great place on the depreciation curve.

Congrats on the new car. I've had several 911s, the last one being a 2014 S (991.1) which I sold and bought a 981 S then sold that and bought the C7. Nothing really wrong with either, I'm just fickle.
