Weird braking issue - gear heads unite!
My POS Ford Exploder (195K miles) is actin' weird. When I brake the steering wheel pulls to the right - BUT the car does not. WTF.
Also had an ABS idiot light come on, added some brake fluid (a little low), cleared the codes, test drove and no light (yet).
The entire front suspension (including new hubs with sensors) has been replaced. (I mean the ENTIRE front suspension including control arms, tie rods, struts, hubs, all of it about a year ago.)
I just replaced the sway bar end links on the rear but it is not near the sensor (its on the damn differential top side - Thanks, Ford.)
Odds are the rear sensor has gone bad. ($28) Unlikely to be the front since they are new. But that wouldn't cause the steering wheel to move- or would it?
Theory - the sensor is sending odd signals causing the right caliper to contract - however, the car doesn't pull - just the steering wheel.
Any ideas? (Besides setting the truck on fire and laughing)

It's usually something as simply as greasing the brake caliper slides......they are almost always overlooked

What were the original codes that you cleared ?
I would also check the front rubber brake lines, or just replace them.

Found the issue. Upper control arm nut was not torqued to spec. The arm moved when I pulled on it. Tightened it up and problem is gone. ABS light still on. Replacing rear sensor tomorrow. I'm going to take it in for an alignment and have everything checked for torque specs.
