Hints of C8 in the CT6?
In spy photos we’ve noticed what looks like a camera at the rear of the roof, and we’ve discussed the CT6 has rear-view camera tech.
I was watching this this video and noticed the center armrest design in the CT6, and I was reminded how similar the design is to the C7.
In the video there’s a quality of life upgrade with the armrest, in that it’s double hinged, making it easier for the passenger to access it.
Wonder if there are any other features/design clues to be found in current Cadillac design language.

Yes, there are more than a few technologies that have been displayed in the CT6 that have been identified by the Zerv leaked CAD views. Checkout the List thread to see the most obvious ones.

From the side, it looks like a XMSR “antennae blade” — a look we are more used to than the camera blocky rectangle on the Corvette IVERs.
Hmmm.
Hmmm.

The most obvious technologies are listed below from the List Thread.
1. Magneto Rheological Engine mounts and Coil Over Magneto Rheological Shocks.
2. Space Frame Chassis has front and rear subframes.
3. 4.2L DOHC Two Stage Twin Turbo Charged V8.
4. Advanced high-pressure die-cast aluminum or magnesium structural ribbed chassis stiffeners, struts, and brackets.
5. It looks like a Dual Port and Direct injection system.
6. All-LED headlamps and tail lamps.
7. Digital Rear View Streaming Mirror/Camera on top of B pillar roof beam and centered for wide splayed view.
8. Possible use of AKC ZF rear wheel steering unit since GM now has it in use in the Cadillac.
9. State of the Art Bose Panaray Sound System Option.
10. BSP (blind spot protection).
11. Corvette will use an advanced mixed-material approach for the lightweight body structure of the upcoming Mid Engined Zora.

Doug got snarky at 5:00 when he flipped the switch on the virtual mirror and it changed to a real mirror, not knowing that this is to satisfy a federal regulation that demands a conventional mirror always be available.

Burning Brakes
C7 logos on a few visible parts, active suspension mounts, Corvette logos in the headlight housings, the hollow honeycomb-like rear subframe, and “some of the coolest looking taillights in the industry”.

I noticed that too. I just thought it was to satisfy customers who complain about not having options, like the ones who complained about the infotainment controls.

A 4,000lb Cadillac Sled's Not Applicable! ;)
Look for some kind of innovative FG/Fiberglass tub in a Vette.
What's meeting the C8R in a Ford?

I DROVE THE CT6 SUPERCRUISE YESTERDAY on Plex Kodi Lucky Patcher (video included). #1 I don't like the rear-camera mirror. It makes me dizzy. I turn it off after a minute or so.
i thought suoercruise was the best of all semi autonomous modes and will I believe cruise automation will license supercruise to all or almost all other manufacturers.
its a superior system. Very impressive
the camera review mirror was uncomfortable to use. I assume over time I would get comfortable with the camera system...
i flipped the mirror back to the old school position like as well.
