Doesn't really say much other than it shows some perspective views of a vehicle. It doesn't even mention the size of the vehicle. It could be a new ATS Coupe or CTS Coupe or CT Coupe.

My guess as well.
Doesn't sound like a C8 ME variant.

The attached drawings, which is the scope of the patent, clearly show a front engine coupe. Maybe that is what GM has in mind. A mid engine car for the Corvette, and a front engine car for the Cadillac, based on the existing C7 chassis(or close to it). 550 HP 4.2L TT V8 from the CT6 would make it very interesting.

It looks like an M4 competitor. If it is, the M4 doesn’t stand a chance; a Camaro 2SS with MRC can outperform an M4 and has more interior features for $20,000 less:

Imagine a Caddy on the same chassis with a Cadillac interior, Cadillac design, and the Cadillac 4.2L V8. CT4-V?

Or it could be a competitor to several "premium' front engine cars from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Mercedes AMG and Jaguar, but built in Bowling Green, KY. To me, the drawings look more like a sports car that I mentioned, instead of a sport coupe(like the BMW M4 or the Camaro).

I scaled it off from centerline to centerline of the wheels and it is coming out almost perfectly 106.7" Wheelbase. Guess what other car is 106.7" ?? The current C7 FE Corvette and most likely the 2022 C8 FE Corvette. Could be the same exact revised and strengthened C7 chassis that will be the next C8 front engined Corvette. Probably built at Bowling Green also?? This car is obviously a front engined Cadillac GT to go after cars like the BMW M6.

That move would be brilliant on all levels.

Looks like a CT5 Coupe to me.

Mercedes AMG GT 63S
and BMWS M8 Grand Coupe

This would be a stand-alone Cadillac model, not a CT5 coupe, If it’s on a Corvette chassis. It doesn’t seem possible to make a sedan that large on a C7 chassis. Perhaps it will be a halo coupe with an actual name instead of an alpha-numeric name.

I'm agreeing with this. C7 underneath so more GT than sedan.

not this

Agree....maybe Escala? The CT5 design is supposed to be based on the Escala concept. The design patent images are very similar to the Escala concept.

The interesting concept of GM clearly taking the chassis of the C7 Corvette and making it into a Cadillac has to suggest a couple things: 1) it's going to be made in Bowling Green for the functional ease and 2) If they will use a Corvette chassis for a Cadillac what would keep them from using a Cadillac engine in a Corvette?

The very same reason Caddy used the Northstar DOHC engine in the XLR and Chevy used a LS OHV engine in the C6 Corvette.

The roof line and the rake of the wind shield are almost a dead ringer of each other on the Cadillac and Stingray profile.

Cadillac inheriting the C7 chassis is an interesting concept and one I for one, would not rule out. Cadillac milked the old C5 chassis for 6 years. If finally failed after the 2009 model year, two years into the recession. Maybe GM will Cadillac another shot at a halo, high performance sports car. Interesting.

Actually the XLR used a modified C6 frame/chassis, not the C5's frame/chassis, but introduced it one year in advance of the C6's introduction. Since the XLR was built in it's own separate part of the plant, using the C6's frame/chassis did not interfere with the last year of the C5's production on the assembly line.
