I have one. I love the car, but I haven't ever owned a late model Corvette.

The SS1LE will also give a GT350 a very hard time on a road course if not beat it.
So much false here.

Ford tweak the GT350 for 2019... different areos, particularly the rear spoiler, redesigned the grille, and their B&O Play will now be available. Any updates to the platform and performance numbers, if any, have not been released yet. Good news is that most of the ADMs have fizzled, however, some are still lingering on the “R.”

If you can wait, the ‘20 GT500 is around the corner, but unfortunately ADMs will be in play again.

Personally, I would never consider a Camaro over a GT350, but I’m sure that I’m in the minority on this forum
I love my GT350. I did compare it to several other cars and it won out. The 1LE Camaro is a great car but it isn't special. The GT350 is special and for driving experience is in an entirely different league.

The last GT350 I drove, was a 1966 model, back in 1969. It was a little "rough around the edges", but a blast to drive (It was on a 100 mile road rally)…….

Do a little research on the GT350...Lot of stock low miles cars had engines replaced because of engine puking and/or very high oil consumption...Hard to say how bad but worse that the limp mode Zo6's based on reading on the frod forums...

There are a lot of Whippled and TT'd GT350's that are running great.... I think there are around 40ish reports of motor replacements. The oil consumption is hit or miss and Ford stated that 1 qt ever 500 miles is acceptable. It's definitely not worse than the heat soak from what I've noticed.

Way way more than 40 ish...I 've read there is 40 in a 300 ish sample on one forum...I am am not talking the high oil usage I am talking pukes and replaced engines cause grenade. The high oil usage is big too...really sad what I've been reading lately. A bunch of failure under 5k miles and bone stock. And yes some blown ones are kicking *** out there too...

I owned a GT350H for a while in the 80's but that was a completely different animal. The new ones are making an attempt handling and they do, on the track but I think its irresponsible to put that kind of power with a stick axle on a street car. Expect geometric ramp ups of insurance premiums as the reports of fishtailing and spin outs keep coming in.

Mustangs are lighter than Challengers, and because of that, they can turn and handle much better.

All Mustangs have IRS now since the '15 model year

To the op, It would be easier to go w/ a sportier sedan instead of a coupe, imo.

Thanks for the correction, I guess I'm way behind the times. Your post prompted me to look up Matt Farrah's review. He's over the moon about it and thinks it's a great value. Coming from a guy who did an LS swap into his fox body Mustang, I'd say that's quite an endorsement. Are you saying IRS is standard on all Mustangs since 2015? When were they introduced as an option?

He's right. It's standard since 2015. It also came on the '99 - '04 Cobras.

Did they go back to stick axle afterwards or was it offered as an option after 2004 on the Mustangs?

But don't forget how Matt drives, always in the upper rpm band and his foot to the floor. Drive it relatively normal and it is not good due to the lack of torgue.

@BJ67
Yes, he likes leaning against the red line but he still appreciates the low end grunt. The many "one takes" he does on LS swaps is what convinced him to make his LS fox body. The Corvette isn't perfect at normal speeds either, am I the only one here who hates the ~70mph drone in top gear?

If the Gt350 flat plane crank 5.2 didn't scream to 8250 and only revved to 7000 rpm, Matt wouldn't like the car as much as he does. How often can you appreciate no low end grunt when low end torque is a absolute must driving on the street to enjoy for hours of driving. Get pretty tiring of always driving in a lower gear than you should be for the sake of RPM and the vibration that comes with it.. Drive one for 8000 miles on the street and tell me you don't miss low end torque and get tired of high RPM.
