All the Late GT350 cars are IRS. 526 horse power isn't high for a live axle car.

I don't know, the three guys who tried to race coming into a car show a few weeks ago and made it about 300 feet before damn near totaling each other out would beg to differ. Then again if it weren't an idiot behind the wheel it's probably fine.

526 horsepower isn't too high for the car......it's just too high for the driver!!

Get pretty tiring of always driving in a lower gear than you should be for the sake of RPM and the vibration that comes with it.. Drive one for 8000 miles on the street and tell me you don't miss low end torque and get tired of high RPM.
I've driven one for over 8k miles and it has been great. I have had zero issues with torque. Stop with the BS you know nothing about.

I am hoping to get a 2019 GT350 in Race Red to match my RS. Does anybody know if 2019 will be the last year for the GT350?

Good question. Initially 2018 was supposed to be the final year of the GT350 if I recall correctly. I suspect with the announcement Ford is moving out of the car/sedan business with the exception of Mustangs to focus on SUV' and trucks, perhaps something changed as they have announced a 2019 and I've not heard as that being the last.

It might make sense for them to expand the Mustang line up and have something for every price range, particularly with the GT500 release right around the corner--it wont be cheap. I like to think of it similar to the release of the C8 not meaning the demise of the C7 or a front engine variant as GM is hinting they may produce them both. The GT500 slots in where the ZR1 does for GM, GT350 the Z06, and so on. Before anyone yaps, I'm NOT comparing the Corvette to the Mustang in any way--that is Camaro territory. I'm simply speaking to how they roll out their product offerings. I expect them to dig deeper into the Mustang brand--the release of the Bullit is a good example. Perhaps another Boss 302 or 429 version, maybe a Mach 1 etc.. All good stuff and fun to be a fan of American muscle these days.

Lastly after driving a 2013 Boss 302 for 5 years with a 7500 redline it was amazing around town and highway. Totally different experience than a Vette, but equally satisfying for entirely different reasons. Vette is hands down the better car, and nearly 2.5x the cost, but those high revving engines are blast when you know how to drive them.

The Gt350 competes with the SS and the SS1LE, the corvette ZO6 is way out of the GT350 Territory. The NA Corvette grandsport is a Gt 350 R competitor. The new GT500 will compete squarely with the ZL1 and the hellcat, again , the ZR1 corvette is way out of the GT500 territory performance wise and price.

Yeah, I'm not sure your are reading my post properly. I made an explicit point of saying I'm not comparing cars.
I'm illustrating how brands slot their offerings into segmented price points.

The Gt350 is 55k , the Z06 is 80k, The ZR1 is 120k, I doubt the GT500 is going to be in that territory.

You are correct I didn't understand how the comparisons or groupings of these cars were being categorized. But if is was by MSRP, that was not correct either and that is not nonsense.

lupicon thanks for the reply. I was hoping it was the last year because usually but not always they are best of what ever it is they are doing. I bought the last model year of the RS and it seems to be the best and possibly worked out all the bugs. I see the GT350 around Chicagoland and have spoken to some of the owners and they all really love the car. One with a black GT350 from Lemont has been steering me in the right direction.

BJ67 and sublime I am glad to hear your point of view also even if everybody is not in agreement with each other.

Great minds man! I also have an RS as my DD and love it. The GT350 compliments it well.

Great minds do think alike!!!

This is on April 26, 2018 when I bought the RR RS. The blue 2010 Focus SES is my DD. I don’t drive much because I live 5 blocks from work so my commute is a walk most of the time.

Trying to edit my post and it’s not working.

My 1990 Corvette is my main fun car and the RS is the backup I split up the driving with each fun car switching off every other day. Look how much brighter the red is on the RS. With any luck I can add a 2019 GT350 in Race Red with white stripes

do you get out in both of them on on a regular basis? I am driving the Corvette today.

Are there any Forums that are good for the GT350?
