Wrangler JK
Hi, do any of you guys own or have owned a Wrangler JK. I am considering buying one of the last JK Wranglers here in the UK, but have read numerous issues with leaking freedom tops. I just wanted to find out what are the chances of me getting one with no leaks. Oh....and I have already asked this on a Wrangler forum. .......and got 1 reply. Cheers.

Melting Slicks
Not exactly the test I intended...
Figured I share the JK's crash worthiness.
Last week while renting an '18 JK, had a Yukon Denali XL attempt a last minute left turn as I was entering the intersection from the opposite direction. Despite all my efforts to avoid them, the outcome resulted in the other party essentially driving over the front of the Jeep. They never attempted to avoid or hit the brakes. The Yukon driver and passenger fled on foot from the scene. The Yukon's passenger front suspension was essentially destroyed with the right front tire ending up somewhere near the firewall.
I was pretty impressed with how the Jeep faired against the 6000# adversary.

Drifting
They are prone to leak, but usually happens when people incorrectly put the top back on. They are no longer 1 piece and have panels that click and latch together. The leaks I have seen are leaking from the panel seams. Some of them needs to be forced together tightly to prevent leaking. Most do not worry about it because, it's a Jeep!
