new daily driver
As of Friday at the end of the day; my c6 has a new stable mate. I purchased a 2018 Audi S4 in Daytona Grey /w Black leather. It comes well equipped with the sport package (electronic Diff, adaptive suspension) and Navigation (/w MMI touch and virtual cockpit) as well as some other interior upgrades (carbon fiber instead of silver, nappa leather, etc.)
So far I am really pleased with the car. I don't have any pictures but here is a stock image. I will get some good shots next time I take it out of the garage.

I purchased a new S4 back in 2013, it's one of my DD cars and it's been a pleasure to own. Outside of routine maintenance, it's been problem free. Congrats on your purchase and enjoy!!!!

I just picked up a new 2018 S3 a few months ago as my daily driver. It’s my second Audi. I put 168K miles on my first Audi. I love these as daily drivers. I got this S3 for 25% off MSRP

Great cars!
ive never owned an audi but the s3 and s4 seem like great daily drivers with four doors.

That's exactly my point, they rusted just from sitting/washing. I changed mine (on the 50th Anniversary) to stainless/slottted/drilled rotors. They look great, and stopping power is much better. I did keep the originals, for some reason.

Where are you at in Illinois? What dealer did you buy from? If you're in northern Illinois, I would highly suggest The Audi Exchange in Highland Park for service!!

This is extremely common right after a wash or when a car sits outside in the rain (or even very humid air). The second you move the car and apply the lightest brake pressure it instantly wipes itself. The only part that is showing rust is the actual wear surface of the rotor where the pad makes contact. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the rotor or the QC department.

It's a friction surface with an aggressive pad compound..... All cars with a similar setup, regardless of make will yield the same results. It looks like crap until you simply drag the brake pads across the rotor. You're getting your undies twisted up way more than necessary over simple chemistry. They do design a better part...... Carbon brakes!!! An "overkill" option on a car like an S4 and cost prohibitive. Maybe you could work on a design that will focus more on form vs. function and we'll see you on Shark Tank someday????

Love the Audi’s. I had a 14 S6 and daily drove it for @40k miles. Great car and steel rotor cars all usually do that. Had a 12 CTS-V prior and the rotors would have that little rust covering from moisture too. Good luck with the car! Fit, finish and interiors are first class on an Audi. I actually traded my S6 for a 17 Chevy SS. People thought I was crazy but I love this Australian Sedan!
