Default FOR SALE or TRADE: 2004 GTO 6-Speed, 8,300miles!!!

Car is with me in Washington PA 15301. Will ship anywhere enclosed no problem.
04’ Pontiac GTO 6 speed 5.7L *8,300miles* for only 18k.
(no I can’t finance you, im just a regular guy with to many cars)
*for that that dont know, this has the factory mechanical limited slip diff!

As new condition, red on red leather & suede, corvette powered with limited slip diff and tremec 6 speed manual. Absolutely MINT. 8,300 miles. 1 owner. Just did mobil 1 synthetic oil 200miles ago. Tires, brakes, seats, trim, paint, everything is as new, legitimately.
100% stock unmodified collectible. Florida car whole life never seen snow or salt, or any rain for that matter...

So why am I asking 10-15k under market? There is one and only one "gotcha" that doesn't affect anything about it, it is titled as PA "rebuilt" even tho not a single nut or bolt has been replaced on the car. carfax states “non collision damaged”, not flood or theft either.... Had it completely gone thru by Horse Power Sales of FL who specialize in modding these as well as Lamborghini West Palm Beach had 6guys look under every inch of this thing (my friend is the service manager) both stating absolutely no flood or other damage and neither could find any evidence of anything having ever been wrong or replaced, at that point I shipped it up here and put about 200miles on it. Also just went thru pa enhanced inspection, they couldn’t find a single thing or could say why it was ever reported, could have very well be a screw up by carfax that has been well known to happen. Who knows, insurance companies do funny things sometimes when writing of or closing market accounts. What does this mean for you, a normal person who's going to drive the car and title/register it in your name? Absolutely not a single thing! Same as any other car you've owned.

This thing is in showroom condition in every sense of the word make no mistake about it this is the one to get and likely the lowest mile GTO in the country that isn't inside a museum. This is why i'm not asking 30grand+, those few letters on the title are saving you well over 10grand off what I would be asking.

I am mainly looking to sell but will consider trades for bmw m3/m5, amg cars, modern rolex, unique JDM type cars or c6 z06.

Shipping is no problem. Paid 707$ enclosed from Florida to Pittsburgh with the company I use regularly.
Text first if possible (bad reception) 412.fourhundred.6900

Just out of curiosity, how does a car with "no nuts or bolts replaced", wind up with a rebuilt title?

Not a "mistake" if the title is rebuilt. Car is worth nowhere near 18k with the title issue.

That wasn't my question.

If I read post #1 correctly, the OP implied that the car wasn't wrecked, but due to some "fluke", the car was branded as rebuilt. I was asking how that happened.

Happens all the time. Friends have bought cars that have been key'd, had a bad smell, a broken pano roof, one thats the nav system was smoking and fried the electronics but no other damage etc.

This cars mint. If you want to buy one that was rolled 3 times and earned its title statue with 50k more miles to save 3-4grand be my guest... or to pay 15k more than this because it is mission one letter on the title....

I'm sure that's true. But again, what happened to THIS car, that bestowed it with a salvage title?

nobody knows. Some sort of theft is the presumption as the 3 high end shops who inspected it including the place here who did the enhanced state inspection said it’s a new car in every way and nothing ever physical could have happened.

That or some smell. Which I assure you has nothing but regular new car and leather smell

So then, it's not one owner like it says in the ad.

an (insert number here) owner car that’s had 1 owner is still a “one owner” car. Many states require that dealerships or whoever is holding the car title it in their name which shows as an owner on many cars surely you have noticed this in the past. To directly answer This one owner put all the miles on it

You're certainly dancing around the direct questions, and trying to play with definitions, like you're some kind of politician. Any chance your last name is Clinton??

Diff trying to hide everything, respond as slowly as possible, ask for payment to Nigeria, and refuse any in person inspection.... Thats why theres no picture of the left rear seat belt buckle! He's gotta be hiding something!!!!!

How do you figure that? I have TONS of pics, high deff detailed videos and a long description. As stated above... one owner has put on all the miles and owned it for approx 13yrs.

Jesus. Price has gone way up. Or those people are out of their minds. I didn't pay that much for either of my GTOs (the first one was an Auto in 2003 and the second a manual in 2006) brand new. 18k was what I sold my 06 for in 2010.

Also had a new 05 for a short time before dumping it for a proper sports car (07 Corvette).
The GTO was the most disappointing car ive ever owned. Wheel hopped badly, gas tank in the trunk severely cut into trunk space, heavy for what it was, heat soaked like a champ (pulled massive timing) cheap plastics etc.
Alot of revisionist history if people are looking at the 04-06 GTO as some remarkable acheivment, the GTO was panned by most automotive press other then its ability to drift...and was quickly forgotten when the superior new Camaro was released shortly after the Holden disappeared.

I believe you when you say it's in great shape, and the pictures bear that out as well. That said, I can't believe the dealer couldn't tell you why the title was a salvage when he sold it to you. And one better, I don't understand why you didn't insist on finding out the reason before spending your $$ either.
