Default new daily driver

Got a new daily driver about 6 months ago. Couldn't find an old DD thread, so I'm starting a new one.
I'm a life long GM owner, but this time I bought a Dodge Challenger R/T. I was 1st attracted to it because, to me,
it most closely resembled the original car. I also like the sound of the 5.7 hemi. It sits a little high and is a
little heavy, but nothing's prefect.

Congratulations. They are beautiful cars. My wife needs a new car, so I have been to the Dodge dealership a couple of times and driven them. My wife is a little suspicious that I'm just buying another car for me

Enjoy the new ride.

I’ve seen Scat Packs advertised in the low $30K range online. Those price points make them very tempting for 485hp.

I wish they made the AWD GT with the 5.7

You can find new R/T’s for under 30k

Default Challenger R/T price

My sticker was close to $40k (has several options) and I paid around $32.5 before taxes etc.
You can get one with just an AT for less than $30k. I drove 235 miles to get the car I wanted at a better price than
I could get locally.

Here's where I got it.

A 5.7 GT would be nice. My son-in-law has a v6 Charger, he said it doesn't do good when it's slick.
I still have my 4x4 truck for when it gets bad.

i had a 15 challenger RT before my Z06, absolutely loved it and it was so comfortable and easy to drive, slap some original 40's flowmaster on there and you'll get a great sound out of that 5.7 hemi, the reason I sold it was when a vw bug out turned me on a highway ramp, so I knew what had to be done. I do miss the comfort tho

I'm really starting to dig the dodge chargers and challengers. I have ridden in a couple of hellcats at a few mecums and after that started to really like dodge and think these cars are bad ***. I also got to drive a charger scat pack and was surprised how well it handled and loved how it sounded. I'm trying to justify getting one living here in Ohio and the whole winter thing haha. I have my 95 vette which is in great shape and I'll never get rid of it. I got a new 2018 Hyundai Sonata 2.0t about year ago for my daily but now I'm wanting to add a dodge to the lineup. 3 cars is perfect for me!

My former daily driver, a 2004 Monte Carlo, is now being driven by my grandson. Bought the Challenger to use as a DD, using the term loosely. But since I'm retired and I still have my GMC 4x4, former/former DD, I'll try to keep it out of the really bad stuff. Being rear wheel drive, I don't think it will do all that good when it's slick. If I were a more piratical person a Challenger GT ,V6 AWD, may have made more sense, but that V8 is fun and sounds so good.
