Default 2005 Mercury Grand Marque Premier Edition

I purchased a 2005 Mercury GM with 13,000 Miles on it for $6,000
The tires were made in 2004 and cracking.... They will be replaced
I was looking at Rims and thinking of replacing with larger 18 inch rims but can't seem to find the perfect looking set that goes with this style of car.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.....
Car rides like its floating on a cloud.

I don't want to go larger than 18 and ghetto it out..... But something mild that matches the style of the car.
Thanks for any suggestions .......

Seen a number of GM's with different style Mustang wheels that looked quite tasteful.

or find wheels with similar specs.

I remember there is an issue with the intake with those. Either the plastic part of the intake breaks or the gaskets crack...either or. Research is recommended.

Thanks for the info about the intake..... The sites I went to about this year and model never mentioned problems with the intake.
I will post pictures of new wheels after install..... The wheels I ordered are black with a thin red lip. New slotted and drilled brake rotors with red calipers. Car is performance white. Just had the entire car ceramic coated. That **** is awesome.
Installed a in dash new touch screen stereo system with blue tooth hands free and reverse camera system.
Its like driving a brand new lazy boy down the freeway.

I've heard about this issue too. The plastic manifold can crack. I don't think it's really that big of a deal. Ford came out with an updated manifold which fixes the problem.

Thanks....... I'll take her in to Ford dealer to see if I can have them install the new intake.
Its a 2005 GM Ultimate Edition...... I'm wondering if Ford still has new part.
When I first got it..... the shift indicator was not working.
Went to the Ford dealer and they claimed they couldn't fix it because the gauges were Digital and they only had replacement part for analog.
When I was having the new touch screen stereo system installed..... the guy installing the system had the dash removed so we could see behind the dash..... I asked him if he could find the problem. He found a screw had come undone back there.
He reattached the screw and indicator works like a champ..... I tipped him $100.00. Made my day.

Most parts shouldn't be a problem since Ford made Crown Vics up until 2011. I think you got a heck of a deal on a reliable and comfortable daily driver. I picked up a 2003 Maruader with 50k on it a couple of years ago. It's my dd. I love the thing.

After I bought this beauty..... about two weeks later a guy has a 2010 MGM Ultimate Edition on Craigslist with only 2,300 miles on it for $8,000.
Im seriously thinking of buying that one too...... These cars are awesome.
Evertime I visit the family on the mainland.... we rent these cars. I've always wanted to own one.
I will post pictures after I finish dressing this one up.
Thanks for the replies......
