Great car. I was ready to pull the trigger recently on a Scat Pack 1320.

https://moparinsiders.com/2019-dodge...tions-pricing/

0-60MPH in 3.6, quarter mile in 11.7.

Basically a Demon without the Supercharger. It's the only Dodge other than the Demon that has a Transbrake.

You can buy this bad boy for $45,000.00 MSRP

I held off cause the rumor is a 426 is coming out, this is a 392.

Probably THE best value in the car world today.

The 392 is pretty sweet. Not too far from making 500 hp. As was mentioned, the Challenger and and Charger will probably get a detuned 426, minus the supercharger the Hellephant version gets. It’ll prob still make close to 600 horse.

That red really pops. I feel that its going to be quite a change from the C7 cabin!
It's like going backwards in time, as the cabin looks like your living room whereas the C7 looks like a jet fighter cockpit. I'll miss that.

Do I find it big? No...., but my other DD is a Suburban. C pillars not as bad as you'd think, but my car has back-up sensors which helps in parking lots. My car is a 2014....., the 2015 and later models have back-up camera options which most likly helps even more. "That red really pops"......, ya, it does. More than the picture shows. It's official paint name is "TorRed" which is red with some orange. Its hard to hide in the parking lot at work which is filled with mostly gray, black and white vehicles. The cabin is, in fact, like sitting in your living room at home, which I like. A co-worker has a C7 (2014) and he like to ride in my Challenger when we go out to lunch because it's easier to get out of when we get back to work with full bellies of fried food !! When he drives it takes us a longer to de-plane when we get back. Don't worry, you'll love driving around in a Challenger. First Mopar I've ever owned (other than a Jeep back in '95) and I'm 59 years old. Been a GM guy all my life.

My order for the Challenger was accepted yesterday and I have a VIN. How long will it take to build and ultimately get the car, if anyone knows? Any way to track it, now that I have a VIN?

My understanding is that you can go to the challenger website (https://www.dodge.com/challenger.html), click on "contact us" toward the bottom of the page which brings you to Customer Care (https://fcacommunity.force.com/Dodge/s/), click "contact us on this page" which brings you to "how do I contact dodge" (https://fcacommunity.force.com/Dodge...contact-Dodge1) where you select live chat. I never did this but it is my understanding if you provide them with the VIN they will let you know where the care is in the process including shipping/delivery. Not sure if it still works but that is what I understand the process to be.
I have a 13 Challenger RT Plus that I have had since new. I really enjoy driving it and have done so on a daily basis. I am sure the newer is even better than mine.
I hope you are able to track the process.

Thanks very much. I will give it a shot. It seems everyone that owns these is very enthusiastic about them. Has yours been reliable?

Update: Just did a live chat. They were very responsive. I gave them the VIN. It is in the to be built status. I can contact them for progress on the build.

You may want to come over to the dark side here: https://www.challengertalk.com/

I've been a member since I bought my Chgallenger in 2014. Lot's of good info, just like on this site.

Enjoy.

Good timing for this thread. I just started considering a Challenger R/T Scat Pack wide body for my new daily driver. Dealers just started taking orders for Sublime again.

That’s the color of mine. Very photogenic. And looks even better in person.

Oh, incidentally, the color is "GoMango" as in....... Go! Man go!

Yes, I do. Call 1 800 992 1997.
I gave them my VON and I was provided a VIN number, location of the vehicle, which was in Michigan and the date that it would arrive in Orlando Florida, which was is the 28th of February.

I ordered it on the 29th of January and it'll be here on the 28th of February so obviously they're not busy in Ontario Canada.........

Your welcome.

I had a 2017 Hellcat Challenger M6. I LOVED that car, but had to sell it due to some back issues and the heavy clutch. I now have a 2018 Charger SRT 392 and love it as well. I do miss the power and supercharger whine of the Hellcat, but the Charger runs strong with the A8. The nice thing about the Challenger was I could fit 3 full size roller suitcases in the trunk as well as 2 smaller bags. We took a small road trip and my daughter (25) was totally comfortable in the back seat with plenty of room. The Challenger is the only one with a usable back seat. My Charger has every option I could ever want and plenty of power. When in Track mode the suspension is much tighter than most people realize and the A8 snaps off shifts just as good as any auto I have ever driven. Obviously it is no Vette as far as handling, but it is much better than people give it credit for.

Sorry if I missed it, but what dealer? Reading local Dodge dealer reviews on sales and service is scaring me away from this purchase.
