Buying Another Mercedes Key/FOB
Just thought I'd check to see if you guys recommend going through a stealership or if there's a different way of obtaining a legitimate key.
Buy a FOB online and bring it to a dealership for programming?

I just talked to my neighbor, he said that the stealership has to program the fob. As to buying one online, he said that sometimes they work, sometimes not. He did say that make sure that any fob that is not in your possession is deleted from the computer. Sorry, I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but good luck.

I have a friend who works service for MB and tried to re program used stuff for a key so he would have a extra for no investment and MB has things figured out, nothing worked for him.
