Won't see these at your local car show?

I guess it depends on where you live. These types of vehicles are at every Pebble Beach car show.

I do agree that they are works of art, especially the art deco designs. A little impractical perhaps, but beautiful none the less.

Stopped in Pebble Beach once, had to pay a toll just to ride through, that told me I didn't belong here. Most if not all the car shows in my area are put on by the American Legion, VFW, schools, and churches, etc., to generate funds for their various causes and charities.

Some beautiful cars there, no question!! The Monterey Mecum show has a good number of these antique/vintage classics on display for sale....Definitely a challenge to learn how to drive them, and transport them. Lot of frame and suspension tie downs.

There is a college in San Francisco that houses about 50-75 of cars like Pierce Arrow, Talbot-Lago, and such that myself and colleagues brought to and back, the ones that didn't sell. Absolutely amazing collection they have!! Apparently, there are courses you can take there, that teach you how to work on cars of this era. What a dream learning experience that would be!!
