Default Whatever happened to the Cadillac version?

With 1 week to go, seems it's been radio silence on the Caddy version of this thing since the NYC Announcement 3 mos ago?

There was never any reputable evidence of a Cadillac version.

It’s funny you brought this up today. I was just sitting here thinking about something that happened to me back in 2015. I’ve never posted about it because of all the negativity with starting the “my friend” said rumors on here but here we go.
Full disclaimer*** I know nothing about this car being a possibility and have no proof but it ever happened.

I live in central Ky and worked not far from BG in Etown Ky. I went to the gym often after work and on my lunch break. One day while in the locker room two older guys came in that I don’t know other than seeing them at the gym. They were talking about their week at the BG Plant. I was obviously listening because I’m a huge corvette fan. They work at a nearby company who provide parts to the factory and I know that to be true but that’s it. Mostly because of talking to them in there about what they do and their shirts had their business name on it. They were talking about the fast Cadillac they were able to see that was a hybrid car. “It was the fastest Car I’ve ever seen!” and “It looked fake” when talking about the car accelerating from a stop. One guy mentioned something about the motor being behind them but I don’t recall the whole story on it. This was was before I knew the mid engine corvette was even coming out and is what got me interested in the car the whole time. Up until the Corvette team showed the new emblem I was still convinced it was the car they were talking about and it would be a Cadillac.

Who knows. Car could have been real or not. Maybe something they dropped.
Take this for what it’s worth. No proof, no pics, just my story from a few years back.

The Cadillac rumor was pretty strong at one point. Then Jon got fired. It seemed like after that, the rumor went away.
IMHO, there may have been plans for a Cadillac two seater performance car, but when Jon went, any chance of a Cadillac performance sports car went with him.

No reason for Cadillac to have done this. None. Zero. Nada.

Given Cadillac's desire to lead GM in electrification, I imagine all their $s are being spent in that direction and on SUVs as that seems to be what is selling. I don't think the new Cadillac management has the stones to ask for money for a Halo car. Anybody that calls a small sedan with a 4 banger, a V car eats milquetoast for dinner.

And Cadillac already has a bunch of SUVs. I do expect we can see some V SUVs sometime in the foreseeable future however.

What are the odds the E-Ray comes out and I heard about this back in 2015? Could they have been testing this long? I was made fun of several times on this forum because of this quote, but it seems this car may be the one released today. Wasn't a Cadillac but maybe it was their way of trying to keep it quiet.
