I dunno, I used to reconnect bundles of wires in paper mill control panels as well and every one of them went back onto the same terminals as well. I just gotta knack for it and a bit of a system to segregate the hardware by sections of the car, there was not one exta bolt or screw and every one of them went back into their corresponding hole :loL

It's quite amazing. When Tom performed a heads/cam/header install on my Coupe last year, I teased him about possible extra nuts and bolts after the mods were completed. There were no extras. And last week when he did the LS7 swap in the Vert, there were many many more fasteners to contend with. Again, I teased, but with a more serious tone. When I asked about extra nuts I spotted lying around, Tom said they are from the old exhaust system (which was replaced with LGs). I'm humbled again. Tom met the challenge again.
Time permitting, I'm trying to log some break-in miles on this motor. It's starting to loosen up. The torque is addicting, to say the least. Gotta remind myself, my depth perception ain't great, the closure rate to cars up ahead is eye-opening. Stay tuned for Dyno results in a few weeks.

I think it is the same. It does have a stand alone EFI system with a custom made intake and fuel system. The car has a all aluminum 427 dart based small block. It makes 700hp+ to the rear wheels.

The retort used to be:"If you have to ask, you can't afford it."
Big Horsepower = Big $$$$$
(I think I'll go add up all the receipts so far on the new "track car" and drink myself stupid... )

Car was totaled
I heard from Ray that he totaled the 07 and no longer has it.
However, the original LS2 motor is alive and well here: http://LS273Stingray.blogspot.com

Ray is OK, this happened a late last year, the car got away from him on cold morning. Too much power, cold street, no traction......car went sideways into a light poll, which basically ripped the left front suspension out, control arms and all, and bent the frame real bad. The car was totalled, but thank goodness that Ray walked away from it all. From his account it happened so fast that there wasn't any time to even react, and the active handling didn't save it or even come close. I have a picture but not sure if Ray would want me to post it or not. He is OK that is good, he isn't going to get another Corvette, that is bad

Well, that I am not sure of. I think that the insurance company got the car and sold it to the highest bidder for salvage. I had thought about buying it and parting it out, but it wasn't feasible for me to do that in my shop and tie up valuable space with a wreck that couldn't even be pushed out of the way.

Tom, do you happen to remember who owned the black c4 on the lift in the background? Or maybe the license plate? That looks an awful lot like my car. I wouldn't have owned it then but, I think I still get cool points for it having been in the hallowed ground that is your shop.
