Default June 25th, Forumfest @ Pacific Raceways (award for best forum showing)

Hey Guys,

So I apologize for the duplicate post but I want to ensure everyone checks this one out. June 25th is a car show, drag racing and drift event.

They are giving out many awards and one of them is for best forum showing. I think it would be really cool to see CorvetteForum make a good show and who knows, maybe win something.

In addition to this, a car show AND drag racing at the same place? How can you beat that.

Here are the details:

http://www.nwmotiv.com/lifestyle/nos...fest-coverage/

I'll delete the other thread and start a list of who is attending here:

Attending:

Worthington
NoFakeJake
Chris Stewart
Fperra
Bluedevil99
AaronZ51

Edit: Nevermind, I see your post in the other thread with the correct URL:

http://www.nwmotiv.com/forum-fest/

Looks like it will be fun! I really want to give drag racing a try, but I'm missing about an inch of rubber (width) to adequately attempt that....I know a bunch of Prelude and Evo geeks that are likely showing up to this as well.

It's looking like it will be dry. Would be great to have more of a response from everyone in here.

As it stands Mike (NoFakeJake), Chris Stewart (if his car is running in time) and I are the only corvette forum members showing up?

I've got a few friends outside of here coming (one is going to run his maser).

Would really like to see more of you out there if you can make it.

I pre-registered for the car show, so I'll try to make it.

Great to hear Fred! I'm sure you will win something

Have you ever run that beast down the track? I'd love to see it and will film you if you do decide you'd like to make a pass.

I think I'm going to make it out.. I had intended to enter the drag but I'm too afraid my car is going to blow up without a few more repairs first.

It looks like I should be able to make it and participate in the drag racing. Always wanted to try it for fun.

Awesome Aaron, you will have a blast!

For those who are coming, who all is interested in meeting up early and heading in together?

I'm thinking the Auburn Supermall Starbucks would be a good place to meet:

1102 Supermall Way SW
Auburn, WA

Say 7:15?

mmm....maybe, but thats a lotta wild rice!

So... lets see. Have 5 thats going to make it, plus Chris S. if he gets his new motor up and ready.... not much of a turn out for Corvette Forum.

I would imagine it would be some what seanic if the sun comes out. Just don't know about the long, slow entrance time. Maybe...

"Damn this traffic jam" Hurts my motor to drive this slow"
"Damn this traffic jam" How I hate to be late"
"Damn this traffic jam"!

So I'm a definate maybe.

Well, I'm going to take a bow on this event. As much as I would like to go, I can't spend the whole day there, since once I enter the event I can't leave until after 5pm. I've got other things to do later on Saturday. Maybe I'll just spend the morning at RTC.

I'm going to have to pass as well. I was going to try get a run in this morning and head out. Don't ask me how I caught a cold in the summer.
