Default Dyson Racing/Caterham

I got a call the other day from Dyson Racing. They currently run in the ALMS series that will be joined together with the Grand Am Series in 2014. They run in the LMP1 category I believe. This is a closed wheel car that has an open cockpit. They have a relationship with Caterham and are beginning a tour of Caterham's new car which is 1300 lbs and 320 hp. They called me because this tour will start here in Washington and they chose the Ridge Motorsports Park and Turn2 to begin this tour. They will be bringing the car with a support team and a couple of drivers to the Ridge on June 28th and 29th. The best part is that I get to drive the car! Here is a link to the video of the car and the owner of Dyson Racing.

Come on out and see the cars! This will be a great weekend!

I will be at The Ridge (with Tom) on July 26. I will also try to be there for the June event.

How much are these compared with a Radical?

They look amazing.

These cars run faster times than the 2013 Porsche Cup Car. Because they run with a Ford engine, they are much more reliable than the Radical which has the Hyabusa engine in it. Last year at the Thunderhill, I saw a Radical finish the 25 hour endure. I was amazed! Then I learned that they stopped and changed out the engine 3 times. So, the speed of the Radical, with the reliability of a Ford. Pretty cool! I have heard that there will be quite a few people from the Caterham group showing up on the 28th to see this thing run. It'll be very cool! We also will have a Carrera GT show up for the two days.

Of course, there will be some Corvettes there too!

I almost forgot, we have room for about 10 more drivers for the 28th at this point, but the 29th has 40 on the wait list. Contact me if you want to drive. I'll set you up.
