My three shined up and reday to go.
This spring I have been fairly busy, for me. I clay barred, buffed, and Rejexed my 1991, 2000, and 2002. I also changed brake fluid, cleaned and waxed the wheels, and changed coolant, oil and filter in all three.
On the 1991 I also sanded the hood with 3000 grit before buffing, as it had a lot of orange peel and scratches in it. I do not think the previous owner ever buffed it. Also, there were some deep scratches in the clear top, which I sanded out with 1500 paper on a random orbital sander. Of course I went through the clearcoat getting rid of the scratches, so I sanded all the clearcoat off with 1500, then went over the top with 3000 and then buffed it. It came out quite nice. I also removed the driver's rocker panel, repaired a couple of cracks in it, and repainted it, along with repairing some cracks and a hole in the driver's side floor, which was a result of some careless jacking by a previous owner.
It also appears I have fixed the problem of where the 1991 would run for a while and then die. When restarting it , it would run for about 1/2 second and then die again. I finally was able to determine that just before it died the ECM thought the water temperature jumped from 160 to 260 in about 1/2 second. I replaced the temp. sensor with no change and then replaced the ECM and that seems to have taken care of it.
Overall they came out pretty good and I am happy with the results.
They are a 1991 supercharged turquoise coupe, a 2000 convertible, and a 2002 Z06.
I used a random orbital buffer from Griot's Garage, their foam buffing pads and their Complete Compound, followed by a coat of Rejex.
Now it is time to get them dirty.

They certainly do look nice! I need to get my rock chips fixed and then apply that level of treatment to it.

Your cars always look nice Keith.
The way things are going around here you may be able to start up a side business ... renting them out to Walter, Fred and Joe
