Scale Model Corvetts
I've been considering selling off some extra bits of my model car collection. It's a pretty extensive assortment of high-end (and a few low-end) items. As you might imagine I have a fair number of Corvettes. I tend to lean toward the larger - 1:18-scale - race cars, but along my collecting trails have managed to buy a number of Franklin Mint Corvettes. In fact, I have too many to display at the moment.
Not sure what to do, but am trying to think of the best way to sll them. Anyway, if anyone is looking for a special Corvette model, let me know. On average I'm thinking $50 for each model, but we'll see...All are mint and with original packaging.
so...

No, do you?
Joe, for some reason I don't have any C7s at all. Except for some small-scale race cars.
I was going to ask you though. I keep looking at your wheels and they seem too bright to be painted, yet thy don't look chromed either. I've been wondering if the painted wheels could be enhanced by lots of wax?
Whatever, they do look good on LB.

It had the painted silver wheels when I bought it, but being an elderly gentleman, I had to have chrome so I bought a set of chromies from a CF member back east. They are the OEM GM wheels.
I've been thinking about getting a set of chrome Z06 replicas from Bob's House of Wheels. I've seen them on the Z51 model and I think they look outstanding.

You know, there's just something about buying wheels for a near-200MPH car from a place "Bob's House of Wheels" that bothers me. Let me go through all my records and files from the last few races at LeMans and Daytona and see if any of the contenders for an overall win have "Bob's..." decals on the fenders of their cars.
When I take it to the Bonneville Salt Flats for my 200 mph run, I'll be sure to switch back to the OEM's.

Yeah, mine are 1/18th scale also, that's why I was asking. Could be interested in the Franklin Mint one.....I don't have any of those. My collection is pretty small, cant spend money ***** nilly on models all the time sadly!

Have a black one, 2009 top down, with red interior. Franklin Mint, 1:24-scale It's "sold" but no money yet. In fairness I need to give the buyer a few days.

I am guessing 00Midnight was looking for a C5 convertible, only because 2000 (00) would be a C5, and the % is the Shift5 key, but anyway.....
What colors and what scale C6's do you have left, esp. coupes or Z's, since you don't have any Grand Sports. I have been scouring the net, and GS's are not to be found?

No worries, I will just keep searching the internet. I blew it last year. We went to the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale auction and bypassed the model sellers in the vendor tents. Too many cool real cars to look at!
