Default Mahogany and Merlot - Chelan

I was working at the shop this morning on the 'Blaster engine (okay I was dusting it off and eating maple bars, but even so...) and looking at the recently restored Pay n Pak and the ongoing work to get the '58 Miss Bardahl ready to return to the water after years and years of hanging on the wall at the Goodwill store on Dearborn. I'm thinking we may have more vintage unlimiteds ready this season than the Turbine Fleet.

More importantly though I was reminded of the annual Mahogany and Merlot weekend in Chelan, this October 7th and 8th and wondering how many of he old boats we'll bring this year from the Museum? I'm starting to wonder if we have more boats than engines, but we'll make an appearance never the less.

This event continues to grow each year and while the old Thunderboats are a main attraction, there are also other things to see and do.

So, hope to see some of you there this year.

Phil:

I'll try to be there. As it gets closer I'll know more.
It will be great to wander around the old wooden boats as I have a "plastic" boat that I keep in Chelan public marina and also a "plastic" car (but not in the marina).
