Default Get Together/BBQ in Kent, WA June 10 - 6th Annual Gathering

Hello everyone and sorry for the shorter than usual notice - Annual summer kick-off BBQ at my house. As usual, I'll provide entrees (meat and veggie options) and potluck style for everything else (main dishes if you want, side dish, dessert, beverages, etc). I'll provide drinks for the 1st round (beer & soda).

Date: Saturday, June 10th beginning at noon through the afternoon

I will PM our address to everyone who says they are attending the week of the event. Post if you can make it and what you anticipate bringing and I'll get a list going.

Hope to see many of you here!

Maybe plan a couple group drives as a point of discussion during our BBQ? This would be a great summer for another Hwy 2 trip out to Winthrop!

Attending:
NW94Z - Joe & Laurie
Mr. Peabody - Mark & Anita (fruit & wine (or fruity wine?))
Last901 - Phil?
XC6Vette - Walter
WAwatchnut - Joe & Jeanette
Itaylorm - Taylor
Mufflerbearing - Pat (cookies & beverage)
Kmcoldcars - Keith

Carol-Jean's first chemo treatment in on June 6. We will have to see how she is feeling afterwards, but if possible we will be there.

Sounds good, Pat. See you Saturday. Here's hoping the weather forecast is wrong...

Me too!

Don't forget to come with your ideas for a couple fun drives this summer - maybe a highway 20 drive not trying to recreate the "Fast & Furious." Always a beautiful drive. Or maybe up to Rainier for lunch at Paradise Inn?

Oh no, no, not with you characters. Never again since that first, ahem, "tour" you guys talked me into years ago, when we all met at the XXX (not a porno theater). At least you had the courtesy this time, Aaron, to allude to the "Fast and Furious" films to give others an opportunity to get an idea of what you consider to be a Tour.

My lasting memory from that first trip with you, Poodle Girl and Joe is the only time the DIC in my 1LT '07 (AKA the Aero Lightweight - one of 42) indicated an average MPG of 3. So, count me out of this one. At least as any sort of leader assignment. Well, maybe if I can get my Dr. to increase the dosage of my heart medication.

I love you guys, you know that, I'm sure. A drive along hwy 20 that would also take in Lunch at the Paradise Inn (By which I presume you mean the one at Mt Rainier) sounds like fun but, for me, there is no pressing need to be back home before noon.

At least Poodle Girl and our much missed friend, Fred had the common decency to find a place for overnight.

But, hey, if I was still young and riding my Ducatis, I'd be inclined to join you. As it is, it's still a challenge to find your house for the BBQ in something less than 2 hours.

Just sayin'

Default fourOnefive

How come we never invite fourOnefive to these gatherings? I know he's kinda' underage, but, even so...

He's pretty active on this forum, takes some great photos and, clearly likes Corvettes..

Aaron sent me a pm with an invite, but long story short, between finals and work, I'm going to be super busy the next few weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to attend some other time in the near future

Aaron it looks like I will be there tomorrow but without Carol-Jean. The chemo has been pretty hard on her so far.

Thank you Aaron and Jen for opening up your estate for another great BBQ. The food was first rate and I thought the turn out was good which may have had something to do with the sunny day in spite of earlier forecasts. It was good to see everyone again and it would be nice if we could do a road tour or two this year if it doesn't have to be Corvette specific. That way Walter and I can bring up the rear.
