Default Dealership recommendation for warranty work in Portland, OR?

Hi All. I've had my C7 for about a month and loving it of course. I have a couple of questions:

1) Is the 500 mile oil change only for dry sump engines? Before you jump all over me, yes i did search the forums and it seems like the consensus is that the 500 mile service is only for the dry sump engines. But my owners manual says to change the oil after 500 miles on vehicles "with the LT1 engine, the LT4 engine, the Z51 package, or the GS package" . So i'm a little confused

2) Can anyone recommend a Chevy service department in the Portland, OR area for warranty work?

Thanks

I've heard Suburban Chevy in Sandy is Corvette friendly. I haven't used them myself, but might be worth looking into. I also believe they host the Trunk Monkey parts people, who are listed in the vendor's section of the forum. Who did you get your C7 from?

Thanks. I'll look into the dealership in Sandy though I'm hoping there is one in Portland. I bought it @ Tonkin Chevrolet in The Dalles, OR for a great price.

The Owners Manual seems to be quite clear:

Dry Sump Engines Only (Stingray with Z51, Grand Sport, and Z06) - Required: Initial break-in oil change. Change engine oil and filter after the first 800 km/500 mi. Follow the engine oil life system for every oil change thereafter.
Dry Sump Engine Break-In Oil
Change
If equipped with a dry sump engine,
the initial oil and filter change must
be performed at 800 km/500 mi.
Follow the engine oil life system for
every oil change thereafter.
Yes, 500 mi oil change is ONLY required for dry sump engines.

What model year manual are you looking at? Mine does not state that (2017).

I used to live in Lake Oswego and used Wilsonville Chev, as did several Forum members up there. They are across the 5 Fwy from the Costco complex. I can't say they were great but they seemed to genuinely care for Corvettes and treated them well, ie: always parked inside and away from people and other cars, etc. I have no recent info about them though. Hopefully PNW members will chime in for you. Good luck.

Thank you. That is very clear. Page 181 of that very same manual is where my confusion comes from.

I use Wilsonville Chevy for my warranty work as well. They have 2 'vette certified techs and do indeed know the nuances of C7s.

Been very happy with 'em for years

Certainly would be worth checking out Nancy's Suburban Chevrolet out in Sandy. They are a sponsor of Rose City Corvettes and many of their members have work done there and they also buy Corvettes from them.

You didn't say where in P-land you are located so it could be a long drive just for basic maintenance work. But they do know Corvettes!

I'm using Suburban! Very happy with experiences! Great service and parts dept.

Plus it's a fun drive to Sandy!
