Default US F1 Grand Prix in Austin

Anyone been to this vent before. One of the other groups to which I belong has made arrangements for our group and offers a choice on options.

One is the choice of seats. Either Turn 1 or Turn 15.

Anyone been to Austin (Circuit of the Americas)

Can't really tell from the track layout which is the best place to sit, given the choice..

You might get that info from the track itself. Ask them their opinion or what section or sections sell out first. My.02

Joe W (NW94Z) has been to this at least once if not more so I'd check with him also.

I've been 2X, probably going again this year. Either of those would be great seats. I wanted Turn 15 last year but they were sold out by the time I looked. I have sat on the grass at turn 1 - it's a fairly sharp blind turn with good passing.

I went in 2014. I sat in T1. Good view of front straight. T1 is 130 ft. above START/FINISH line. Lots if passing.

T15 is also a hair-pin.

FYI, You can only see the part of the track where your seats are. You can't walk around during the race to watch because you can't see the track unless you're in the seated areas.

Take big $$$ for swag. Hats are $50. Everything is expensive there. I had a great time. You will too.

Julie and I go almost every year. Usually sit at turn 1.

Where you sit depends on what you want to see. Do you want to see overtaking, watch the cars change direction, see them coming and going, catch the pit action?
