Might try contacting Tom Wong at Wong's Performance Engineering in Vancouver. Very good reputation and really knows his stuff. A number of Northwest members her have used him for engine builds and tunes.

Unfortunately they had issues with installing Xpipe.

I've heard this as well, but when I messaged him on Facebook, he responded once then never got back to me after that. Attempting to call him was futile as well as his mailbox is full.

Yes he appears extremely busy. I’m guessing they keep plenty busy on bigger jobs. Makes sense. Hopefully I can get in when I’m ready for my blower upgrade though.

TJ tuned a car for me back about 8 years ago. Took over a month to get an appointment. He was extremely busy then. Almost to the point of getting burned out it seemed.

I'm hoping to use him again on an upcoming build but it really is a PITA especially when I am 100 miles away.

I actually got in Yesterday and am very happy with the results. I’m also going to have him install and tune the upgraded blower I decide on.

To update my earlier post in this thread, about a month ago I phoned up TJ on a weekday and much to my surprise he actually answered the phone first try after about 4 rings. I was so shocked I almost didn't know how to speak lol. Anyways, chatted with him for about 5 minutes about my future plans this winter and what his thoughts were and any tuning headaches due to the year of the car. He reassured me all will be well.
Another 100% positive experience.

Siva, keep the thread posted of your project experience.

I have a C6Z so I got some heads from AHP that I'm having installed in order to fix the head issue, plus a tune to squeeze out some extra performance from my intake and exhaust. If you look on Google, the latest review of Tommy's shop said that he seemed burned out (which someone else mentioned in this thread) and that the tune caused issues, so I'm a bit apprehensive now.

On the other hand, he seemed like a very nice guy who knew his stuff, so it remains to be seen.

I can only imagine your surprise when he answered the phone! I've had my best results with messaging him on Facebook. And I'll certainly keep this thread updated with my experiences. He gave me an estimate of next weekend for me to pick my car up.

We have had alot of good experiences in the past with TJ.
It sounds like he was just overbooked for a bit... happens to the best of us.... Tom is a very knowledgeable tuner and runs a good shop from what we have seen and heard, plus he is an all around great guy!

I have had Tom tune several of my cars. You should ask yourself one question...for someone that does little to NO ADVERTISING...why is he so busy? Because he is good and his customers trust his work. I drove my C4 and C6 from the SF Bay area to have him work on them. Perhaps other shops may have more open time.....perhaps again a reason.

Finally got my car back and time for a review!

So first thing, I dropped my car off on a Sat, and Tom finished the car by Wed morning which was great. I was worried I'd have to wait weeks before he got to it like some performance shops do but no, when he makes an appointment for you he keeps it, which is awesome.

The tune he did on my car is excellent - it's making 485 RWHP with just an intake which is pretty good. The car is noticeably more responsive and also faster.

Finally, he initially quoted me $2700 for the work but the final price came down to $2500. He could have charged $2700 and I wouldn't have batted an eye, but it speaks to his character that he chose not to.

Tom is not only a great mechanic and tuner, but also a great guy in general. I enjoyed our chit chatting about his skiing and travel adventures before I had to head back to Seattle.

Overall 10/10 experience. No one but Tommy is touching my car anymore if I can help it.

Great to hear! I plan on bringing my car to Tom after I install the supercharger and exhaust.
