Default Need help in Snohomish (Seattle)

I am helping a friend in Europe to buy another Corvette. This car has caught his attention but I am worried that it might have its running gear and many body panels taken from a stolen car. Can someone nearby go check it out and see if the owner can prove that it is a legit C4?

Thank you so much. I talked with an attorney friend and he said something like this would be very difficult to even transfer to another state as the VIN on the frame will not match the engine and transmission and many of the body panels. I am suspicious for a chop shop upgrade to an 86!

As jimijam pointed out this was discussed in detail on the forum. Owner even documented the build on the forum. Love of C4s and a lot of free time made this car what it is today. Your concern regarding different serial numbers may be a concern for export, but the car is easily worth the asking price for someone looking to drive a nice car without spending a crazy amount of money.

Here you go, you actually posted on the thread I started back in 2011 when I finished the project.

I apologize if I offended. The work appears to be well done. As stated though it may be difficult to export.
One of the favorite C4s I owned over the years was a Steel Blue Metallic 91 coupe. They are beautiful cars.
Someone will be fortunate to own this and you could probably not recreate it for several times the cost.
