New Gas Tank, Boot - Hinge Binds?
The old gas tank rusted out. 
We replaced it. New spill catcher, hoses, the works. Nice. Almost...
Please see the pic below. The Fuel Tank Filler Neck Seal binds with the gas door hinge, leaving the gas door partially open & thumping in the wind. Also, the filler neck doesn't seem too well centered -- front-to-rear -- with the opening under the door. To my eye it looks a quarter-inch or so too far aft.
It only seemed to fit one way, but I must've made some mistake. Is there a "trick" to lining up the tank before tightening the straps?
