I was wondering if I have to order this offline. I tried the razor blade on my 68 and got the newest paint off but god only knows how many times this thing was repainted and a lot of the paint underneath just slightly chips away if at all. Is it ok to get the captains spray on bare fiberglass?

I used Captain Lee's to strip my '69.
My '69 still had the original paint on it plus another paint job on top.
The stripper loosened the paint but did not loosen the primer. This was good since I did not want the stripper to touch the bare fiberglass.
Primer is easy to sand off down to the bare fiberglass.
Captain Lee's is good but it does cause a gooey mess. It does not wash off with a water hose. It will not dissolve with water at all like other strippers do. You need to squeegee it off with plastic scrapers. DO NOT let it drip down into the engine compartment or you will have a mess that is very hard to clean up.

I ordered 2 gallons online to do my whole car.
??? - i used captain lee's on my 69, and it took the paint (original) in layers, down to the bare 'glass. for the factory primer, it came off with a scotchbrite, and a little elbow grease. captain lee's did not effect the fiberglass. i used a 2-part epoxy primer as a sealer, before any primer-surfacers. i had the car 9 years after the repaint without paint problems. -
Great product cleans up very easy with rubbing alcohol but what a mess , can go insane. I prefer dust over slime any time but for the hard to sand areas it is your best friend I was using some yesterday to clean old paint off chrome parts on this 80. I think the last painter did not know what masking tape was used for what a slimey mess that was ,but it worked very well (JUST MY OPINION SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
