Best Fiberglass Resin.... Opinions?
Working on my '66 and looking for the best no shrink resin I decided to see what was on the market.... What do ya'll think of Evercoat SMC Fiberglass Resin ...Sounds good, anyone used it?

Not sure it is anything special, I think its way too expensive at $35+ a quart, the MSDS lists it as a Polyester/styrene resin. You can buy very good quality polyester laminating resin for $35/gallon.
On the West Coast, TAP Plastics carries some great polyester resins.
West Systems and Polyguard both make excellent epoxy products.

The car I'm considering it for is Non- SMC (1966) I'm looking for the best non shrink stuff I can get.... Thanks... Just what we're looking for- Excellent results!

Buy a gallon of ISO Polyester Laminating resin,also known as Tooling resin,It is used for making Fiberglass molds as it has a great resistance to shrinking and heat. I also use it for all repairs,and aftermarket parts I make as it is the highest grade of Polyester resin available. There should be a Composites one Warehouse in your area you can get it from.
