Epoxy Primer/Fiberglass Adhesive
This may be a dumb question, but I'm trying to learn.
After reading through some of the posts, I know that it isn't recommended to use filler materials prior to epoxy coating but does this apply to the Evercoat Vette Bond adhesive?
The areas I'm concerned about are the panel seams and door jambs on mine. I know the vette bond isn't strictly a "filler" material, but do I need to worry about this screwing up the paint if it's under the epoxy? Are there any steps I need to take to ensure that it doesn't screw it up later? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

What year car are you working on, if its SMC, epoxy it first. Or mix your own filler using epoxy resin, microspheres and some cab-o-sil until it is like peanut butter and spread it on. If you have cracked seams, they should ground out and glassed in or the filler will just crack again.

You are mistaken. There is no 'vette bond' It was SMC PANEL ADHESIVE ( part number 994) that was discontinued from EVERCOAT. . The Vette Panel Adhesive is still available Part numbers 100870 and 100880
You have said you do not have a lot of free to do large write-ups but you are resurrecting old threads that have been dead for ling time.

That SMC PANEL ADHESIVE was exclusively made by EVERCOAT and no one has anything just like it out on the market.

Vette Bond was sold thru Corvette Central - - I did not like it - it was more of a body filler - it set up fast with little working time - i did not like how it bonded parts together - there are far superior products out there now.
