Default Dying seats?

I have a 1990 with sport seats. The leather has a few thousand miles on it. The foam of course is toast. The seats are now black. I want to go to a blue interior.
I can buy all the paint and dye no problem. I am looking for results any off you have had. Is it a go or an I opening a can problems and regrets?
Thanks,
Robin

I know I would not due to it will wear off. I have seen enough Corvettes that have the seat dyed and in time they start to show that they were color changed.

SO...if you can live with that and know that you might do this all over again...then do it.

Thanks.
