69 door repair

I can not answer your question at this time. Due to all of the previous repair work that is still on the door....it needs to be ground off so a TRUE assessment of the damage can be determined.
I know I could fix it with either VPA or resin...but I would NOT do it until I ground off all what someone else has applied.

Then depending on how bad it can get. You might need to remove the door so you can get to teh backside. Hard telling at his point on exactly on what it will take to make this repair rock solid again.

When it was mentioned by Dub to remove any existing repair material I did not quite understand. So as body paint was removed I found an area of pink Bondo. Dub said you really should remove all of that, so I did. Hence the repair followed, or the surprise.

Amazing what can be under a nice paint job!

YEP...until a person truly KNOWS what is going on in a repair area by getting to the bottom of it....they may be shocked IF they do not do that and wonder why their repair came back.
Doing body work correctly is like building a house. If the foundation is not good...then the house is not worth spit.
