Default Help Brake fluid spill

I was using my Mitivac and this brake fluid leaked out of it overnite . I know that’s one piece is metal but rubber bumper and underneath are my concern. I wash with Ivory dishwashing soap. What else can I do with my paranoid self? Would not want it to screw up any paint later on.

Washing it with soap and water destroys the brake fluid and that is all you can do.

Any staining is what it is and IF the brake fluid got into the paint far enough....the staining more than likely will not be able to be rubbed out.

Only time will tell IF the brake fluid got down far enough to cause the paint to bubble and come off. Generally.... if it did get down that far...it would have already lifted off.

I guarantee you will not make that mistake again and allow any tool with brake fluid in it around the car unattended ever again.

Your right about that. My handle broke on my Mitivac and I took it apart to repair and the manual said to lube with brake fluid.
