Anyone using exhaust cutouts?
I tried some on my car at one time. On the dyno they were 10 hp better than stock mufflers, but to say that would equal 3/10 at the track is being VERY generous. Maybe 3/100 max. My problem with the electric cutouts was that they would not stay closed all the way. So the sound difference between open and closed was not that much different.

I am also considering electric cutouts for my '99. I would be interested in hearing from others as to what brand were good and what were not.
DBN, what brand were you using? And about how much they cost?

I have cutouts just before the pipe bends to go to the mufflers and i love it because it is easy to reach and the exhaust still exists the rear of the car. I have a picture if you would like me to email it to you, just shoot me a pm.
