Catfish testing no tuning base ET's 11.39@122MPH!!
Well I had my opportunity to take the catfish/Camaro Z28 to Cecil county last night. First I have to say they prepped the track better than I've seen in almost a YEAR down there! I couldnt believe how well it was prepped but when you see cars running low 5's in the 1/8mi for the yellowbullet series she must be working good so LUCKY ME for that.
If you're curious of what the car is, modifications see the What will it run/dyno thread 412rwhp 383rwtq.
First pass right off the street tire pressure at 19psi warm, 1st gear burnout till decent smoke from tires, 4000rpm clutch dump.
Car dead hooked and bogged bad.
60ft-1.752
330ft-5.015
1/8mi-7.662
1/8mph-93.81
1000ft-9.913
1/4mi-11.801
1/4mph-120.19
2nd pass, I aired the tires up to 23psi hot for a new starting point, 1st gear burnout until fair amount of smoke again, 5000rpm clutch dump, car spun but it was a pulling spin not like a rev limiter spin the rpms stayed up and car pulled out with the nose up all the way.
60ft-1.912
330ft-5.058
1/8mi-7.636
1/8mph-96.03
1000ft-9.845
1/4mi-11.701
1/4mph-122.03
3rd pass I aired the tires down to 21psi hot, did a 2nd gear burnout until light smoke from the tires, 5000rpm clutch dump, car hopped hard twice, bogged and went on its way.
60ft-1.758
330ft-4.888
1/8mi-7.447
1/8mph-96.71
1000ft-9.639
1/4mi-11.484
1/4mph-122.76
4th pass I aired the tires to 19psi cold due to long clean up, 1st gear burnout till decent amount of tire smoke. Clutch dump at 5000rpms and the car bogged lightly.
60ft-1.711
330ft-4.873
1/8mi-7.438
1/8mph-96.49
1000ft-9.635
1/4mi-11.482
1/4mph-122.44
5th pass I removed the air filter because I curious, tires at 20psi hot, 1st gear burnout until a little bit of tire smoke, 5000rpm clutch dump. this time they had me sit there at the line, then backed me up, had to redo the burnout so the car was hotter. Car bogged pretty good on this run aswell.
60ft-1.727
330ft-4.898
1/8mi-7.453
1/8mph-96.79
1000ft-9.642
1/4mi-11.483
1/4mph-122.79
6th and final pass. I dropped the tires to 19psi hot, 1st gear burnout until a little bit of tire smoke, 5500rpm not a complete clutch dump a slightly slower dump, car came out slightly with a bog but picked up quickly.
60ft-1.653
330ft-4.800
1/8mi-7.360
1/8mph-96.73
1000ft-9.550
1/4mi-11.394
1/4mph-122.69
I have to note figuring out the super lagged tach that was hard to keep shift points in check because 1st gear the 7000rpm rev limiter would hit just over 6000rpms, 2nd gear was about 6400rpms rev limiter, 3rd gear was around 6600rpm rev limiter. Needless to say obviously I nicked the rev limiter many times throughout the night.
GO PRO video and Devilish has video of the last 2 passes to come soon.

Damn Bruce, nice runs!!
Sounds like you were efficient in finding the sweet spot on the usual list of goodies (tire pressure, launch rpm etc)
Track must have been hooking like crazy to bog a 5k launch.
A shave of the 60' and you're knockin' on 10s. Killer ET for the power/weight.
When I get my bar in, I'll have to come out to play more often.

Whats with all the laughing at the end Mr.Devilish????? Not nice!! LOL!
Wish it didnt get so noisey to hear the shifts and see how she was doing. Looks like the car jerks right a little on the shifts. That could be a control arm/suspension adjustment issue. Nice you can see the wheels pop off the ground a little with the cam only 346ci

I think you should turn it into a bracket car with the three 11.48 passes...congrats!

Very nice ...there's a 1.5x (probably a high 1.4x in a perfect world) in that car which means that there's possibly also a 10.9x at roughly 124+mph in it during November/December as well.

1.656 w/bog=== 60ft====1.50 60ft no bog---ET reduction estimate-.20-30
Better air say +1000DA to -1000DA- ET reduction estimate-.10-.15
Combined with a short belt, better shifting aka no rev limiter hitting lol, little better set up on the suspension smoother launch, maybe a shorter rear tire like a 27in tall radial, hot lapping the car. ET reduction .05-.10. Somewhere in there.
So are 10.99999's possible..... YUP!!!!!!
