I downloaded instructions, didn't see anything either, when I went to order to make sure, jegs could not tell me if it would work on a 2001, they called MSD and said no.

It's disheartening to get conflicting information. Joe, the person that I spoke to at MSD, said that it would work on any LS-based engine.

Well I called MSD and asked specifically if it will work on a 2001 and even though he had to go ask a supervisor, he said it would work on a 2001.

I then called Lingenfelter and they have 2 units, but one also has a timing retard and since I might add nitrous at a later date I went with that unit. Lingenfelter Adjustable Launch Controller, RPM Limiter 2 Step & Timing Retard LNC-002.

Ordered.

You have a buit in launch rev limiter - it's called a torque converter :-)

I see a few people have that. I can't see a big reason to have a 2 stage with an AT and transbrake. What am I missing? I raced a lot back in the day with an AT and never saw the need for one.

If you have the correct torque converter why would you need a 2 stage rev limiter?

Because you can set the target RPM and go WOT. Same as with a stick, it saves from hunting your target RPM, which I really like since there's not much time for that once you're staged. In my case, it also allows me to start making boost off the line.

I have a nice N2MB WOT Box (2-step and No Lift Shift) on my 6 speed 2000 FRC. Love it. Pretty sure you can use it on an auto C5 as well.
