Default Final arrangements for Ernie King

I received this info from Ernie's good friend Bill Wilson:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi bob,
Ernie's family has just announced final services for Ernie. The Memorial Service will this Friday 09/25 at the Watson's Funeral Home in Conway, SC. Service will start at 1 PM. The family has asked that contirbutions be made to the American Heart Fund or to the National Corvette Museum in lieu of flowers or other gifts.
I have spoken to Connie Russell at the Museum and she has agreed to hold all dollars sent to the Museum in Ernie's name for a 30 to 45 day period so that the total funds collected can be used to fund a permanent memorial to Ernie. I have heard the members of the ZO6 Forum have thought about collecting monies for a brick for Ernie and so has his old Corvette Club. I'm hoping you might be interested in coordinating the collections efforts so that everyone's funds might be pooled in an effort to honor Ernie.
Below is Connie Russell's address and number. I don't want to duplicate the efforts on this but the family has asked that I post something about the services on the Corvette Forum and I will this evening but I hope you will head up the donations efforts or at least coordinate them for the family. Should you need to reach me directly please use the info below:

Thanks Bob I appreciate. Feel free to invovle anyone else you feel is necessary or that you should contact. I would handle this with the Museum but I just have my hands full with other items for barb and the family here in Consay. Hope you understand.
Thanks - Bill Wilson

Jimbo has kindly taken the task and posted a link for contacting Connie at the museum for a $25 (or whatever you can afford) donation toward the brick.
