Default Shaner ported throttle body dyno

What are the cammed c5z guys seeing from a properly tuned shaner ported throttle body? I have bought one with planning on sending it there to have ported and wondered what i should expect. Thanks!

Not sure if you'd even see anything on a dyno. Power gains are minimal, however, throttle response will be improved. I installed my Shaner along with several other things and am very pleased with the overall result. BTW, I have a fairly heavily modded A4 (see sig).

had a ported 78mm t/b by shaner on ls-6 intake but could not tell you of any rwhp increases was installed wih the whole package. now also have a 90 ported by shaner and same thing installed with new package. dont think many just install a ported t/b and dyno there cars without doing other work. yes 3.73 are the ticket for racing and still can be street driven other than gas mileage if you care. hard to keep foot out of throttle with these gears. run my 3.73 with 3600 stall.

Ive got a cammed, lt headers, vararam intake c5 z06 with nitrous. It made 486whp/509wtq on the 100 shot and want to see if i can open up my cutouts and have shaner do the throttle body for a little extra hp. Over 500whp would be great!

No offense man, but who does your tuning? If that was a full bottle you should already be well over 500whp as I figure N/A you'd be making ~425rwhp

Yea, i think my pushrods are a little (.025) short. It has some considerable valvetrain noise and i am running the 7.400" pushrods now. Thinking about going up to a 7.425". I believe TSP recommends this length with the 224/228 XER cam and when i had it installed the guy who did it must have looked over it. The .581 lift i have is at .556 if so and thats close to the stock 02-04 z06 cam, hince the car making closer to a intake, headers, tuned 02-04 z06..

Havent been yet.. So you were on a 10.5cr, with the stock ls6 head gaskets, and had stock rockers and lifters also right? I might get a pushrod length checker and measure them to find out. Im down a good bit of power for the mods i have. The tune is done by someone who attended the tuning school not long ago and has a very good record. The dyno isnt very stingy either. I made 349whp with just the vararam and headers and no tune it made 37Xrwhp.

On a side note, it's my personal belief that there are a LOT of "Happy" dyno's out there. So I wouldn't get to caught up in the numbers. Run it at the track and that's your true dyno.

Yea, on street tires and a 2.0 60ft BEST, i was doing several 116-118mph traps.

yes you gottem with 6k also i think the pushrods that were7.4's. did
they work for you. you still need the 90/90 setup to go with it. should get you another 15hp at least if ported. i made 438 rw with the setup and when the 3.73's and 3600- stall went in ran my first10 sec passes
