Ouch! Glad nobody was hurt. Nothing good comes from trying to repeat a burnout after failing in the waterbox.

i think he was just trying to turn the tires over in the water box,
not do his bunrout there, he just rolled up to far, and had his
front wheels turned to the rite, as you can see in the 2nd video
the front wheel were sliding while turned to the rite

Pretty much the same as redoing a failed burnout, by going too far out. Asking for trouble... Yeah the front tire was locked, and hes plowing it. The only way to be more embarrassed would be an air bag deploy.

I don't even like to run beside a C6-Zo6...too much car for some people. They scare me thru first gear.

The last time I went to the track I was told by the techs there that for street tires a burn out was pretty much useless. Still fun to watch the one wheeled diffs pegglegging along.

This guy is a very good driver, and runs bottom 10's fairly regularly. He is a friend, and knows what he is doing. He didn't know the fronts were pushing, and he probably has a hundred passes under his belt. Sometimes crap happens.

It's being blamed on faulty active handling in this article.

Would be great to hear his side of the story...(though I know things happen VERY fast on the racetrack). Can you have him chime in?

I looked at the vid a few times and seems that he turned the wheels the wrong way when the car kicked left and he cut the wheels right....right into the starters box.... ouch

I agree, you can't argue the front wheels were turned right when the back shot out to the left. Really sux for the poor guy.
