Who's going to Indy for LSX shootout?

I've been down that track probably 100 times running laps. There is a road course there that uses the drag strip as the main straight.
Still trying to get over the MIR this fall.
Good luck to all who will be going!

I'm hoping that they'll use part of the road course and/or oval for the 'street drive' portion of the True Street class like they did last year at Gateway.

Sounds pretty cool but now I'm sure that they won't be using that particular route for the 'road portion' of True Street because the staging lanes and 1/4 mile remain active the entire weekend during this event.

It's not much to look at but it's supposedly only 3 miles from the track, the prices are CHEAP and like you said we're not even in the rooms that much anyway.
I'm still booked at the host hotel as well but neither Edgar nor Rob are staying there, Dave isn't even going to this one and my little Super 8 is roughly $130.00 cheaper for the 3 day stay, that's like free race entry plus a free dinner.
Let's all book there and have our own little 'host hotel' CF party.
** EDIT **
*Note to self* ...read the reviews of the hotel that you're planning on staying at BEFORE you actually book the room LOL.
This Super 8 that I booked has what are possibly THE WORST reviews/ratings I have ever seen for a hotel.
Might still stay there but I don't know LOL.
** EDIT 2.0 **
Scratch that, Super 8 is out!

True story, I can always buy some extra self respect with all of the money I've saved being thrifty LOL.
Ok, I've decided to keep my car's windows and wheels intact as well as avoid a nasty staph infection and cancel my reservation at the sewage plant, uhh, I mean Super 8 in Brownsburg IN.

Jay, if you or Doug R haven't booked the discounted rate/host hotel (Hampton Inn) yet I think they're all booked up at the moment, though there are always last minute cancellations so it pays to keep checking. As of right now Steve C, Doug K and I (as well as LOTS of other LSx Shootout attendees) are likely staying there.
But if you can't get in there and still want to stay among the action there is a nice Hilton Garden Inn literally right next door to the Hampton Inn (they're are the only two buildings within a half mile of the whole area I think LOL).
Here's the info:

Prices aren't bad either, especially if you have a AAA card.

I'm a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to booking rooms, thanks for the tip.
