I know that the 17" M&H bias plies are roughly 11 or 12 pounds each, that would make the rims alone only 9 or 10 pounds each?
I'll try to re-weigh them this weekend, that's the number that seems to stick out in my head.

GTO spares with racemaster front runners. Also added a 1" spacer to space them out better. Rears OEM 17" thinspokes. Still have the rears but i sold the gto spares.
Nice budget setup

Could someone help me. Ive had a set of Greg Weld Prolights in my garage and dont have the correct lug nuts for them. And Ive heard of guys snapping lug studs off if they use the wrong shanked Lugs. What would you recomend?

For those of us with manual transmissions and needing a bias ply tire, Has anyone tried seeing if a 17x10 wheel with a 26x11.5 Mickey thompson ET street slick fits on a C5? I see weld racing makes a 17" wheel but I know for my car the closet tire that I think would fit would be an 26x11.5 in the ET street. I'm not interested in buying/using drop spindles.

I can't think of any reason why you shouldn't use that tire.

26" tall on a 17x10 rim should be fine.

Use skinnies up front with the bias ply rears.

Will a 26x11.5 fit on a 17x8.5 wheel? Looking to buy OEM C5 thinspoke wheels for the rear and their 17x8.5. I'm not sure if I need at least a 10" wheel to run a 11.5 tire.

While certainly it would fit better on a Z06 front wheel, it'll work fine on the regular wheel.
