Default Dyno Results -RPM-Motors Small Bore LS7 heads on a 4.005 Bore 402 - C5Z06

TSP 402 short block 11.1:1
Eagle Crank/Rods/Diamond -15cc pistons/ARP everything
RPM small bore CNC LS7 heads. 60cc
RPM Ported LS7 Intake/ 96mm NW Throttle body
236-248 .648/651 114lsa
ARH 1 7/8 headers no cats.
powerbond ud pulley
diamond stage 2 clutch/ Light flywheel
ls7 rail/injectors
ls7 rockers trunion upgrade
Halltech air intake
Evans Water pump

This is our first test on the 4.00 bore - clearly, we can cam this up some if we want to. In the meantime it drives beautifully, idles like a champ and has a great torque curve.

I picked up this short Block used with under 1500 miles thats why the -15cc dished pistons. If you bumped this motor to 11.7:1 it would have been kissing 550/500. But I got a smoking deal on the motor. Also this cam is very mild and we may end up putting something larger in and see what she does.

I have to say even with all the power this setup drives every bit as good as my 228-232 cam did in my 346. Amazing!

Very nice setup and great power, I would kill for that kind of setup. About what would this run if I built a similar setup

That set up sounds great.
How's the drivability?
I was wondering how much this set up would cost also.

It drives about as good as my TFS/Fast/228-232 cam setup did. On my stock motor.

PM'd you on pricing.

I think it would be almost the same as in my 402. But it is cut for LS7 style heads. Not Cathedral style heads.

Not sure I know what you mean? Stock motor took out some bearings. Found the shortblock slightly used from a guy on here who lives in San Francisco. Was going to reuse my Trick flow/Fast topend originally. But decided to be the first to try out these new heads. I was kinda cool to be the test bed for the new heads.

We are also talking about tossing a 150 shot on top to see what she does. Just for special occasions when i need it. Not 100% on that yet but could happen in the next couple months.

Sorry, I didn't realize the 402 at the top was yours. I thought that was a customers and you also had one. I was wondering what you had in yours (heads, cam, etc).

Are you going to track that 402 ? I was wondering how that setup will do on the big end. Should do real good.

Yea I want to hit the drags this year. But Down hear the tracks are all closed or 2 hours away. Will deff try to get there some time. Might be back in WA this year so will go to PIR a couple times. Want to get a 10 sec slip this year is my goal.

That should be a given with that motor.

I made a real mild 402 for the street (445/413) and now wished I had gone a little more radical. I have been trying for that slip for 2 years with just tuning and tires. I hit 11.14 at best @ MIR (in perfect air) so I don't think it will happen on current setup.

Can't wait to see your results !! Good Luck !

Yea I think it will be fairly easy to the into the 10's. You know the thing that gets me about this new setup is it drives nicer then my last setup did on the stock motor. I am loving it more each day! I actaully daily drive this combo with no issues at all very tame. That 402 of yours is in a truck from the looks of it too lol I didnt realize that. Nice a full size truck running low 11's with a mild 402. Love it!
