Homestead Miami Speedway has been doing 1/8 mile drag racing in the pits for a few years now...it's pretty well attended and they even have a tree, timing equipment and scoreboards.
I don't go however as I understand there is no track prep. Not worth the drive for me.
But I'm always glad to see a new track of any sort open!

It's supposed to simulate street racing in a safe environment on pit road. Here's what I do on the rest of the track

Thanks Gary, I was on the et streets with 13psi...they have seen better days, but pit road after the sun goes down is slicker than the street:-/
