Default C5 LS3 TSP 231/236 cam only rough tune dyno results

Well, the car still needs quite a bit of tuning but I got a baseline on my current rough tune. Car dynoed at 460rwhp/455ftlbs on a Superflow eddy current dyno. Needs less timing up top and a lil less fuel. 1 7/8 headers and intake porting are in my future plans. Still as is, its making 20-30 more ftlbs of torque then most LS3's Ive seen with this cam. Hopefully some more tuning can net me another 10-15hp.

Stock L92 shortblock
Stock LS3 tb, intake, heads and rockers
TSP 231/236 114lsa cam
PRC .675 valvesprings
TSP 1 3/4 headers

Looking at the dyno sheet, would you say 6500 would be a good shift point?

Typically 200 rpm past peak, so 62-63 would work. By 6500 you are dropping off bad.

Cool, my tuner also agreed with 6300. After peak power at 6000 it only dropped 9hp at 6400 so the drop is not that bad but shifting at 6300 should keep me in that sweet spot.

I use a small shift light and set it about 300 rpm before my shift so I don't go past. I figure by the time your eye sees the light, and your brain signals your hand\foot, it will take that much time to actually bang the gear.

It's an A4, don't need a shift light. Set the software (easier said than done) where you want it to shift and go in 3.

Adjusted the shift points to 6300 and man I feel a difference. No drop off in power and the shift comes in hard. You can really tell the car stays in its sweet spot. Got wot timing at 28*, was at 30* but playing it safe. Its been hot out here but its running good. Since these LS3's seem to run a bit hotter Im now looking at a bigger radiator. Bigger headers will have to wait for tax return season.
