what mode for roll ons with my buddies?
I finally found the C5 ZO6, I was looking for. 2004 with a procharger. Me and some of my buddies, were out the other night. And they were doing some roll ons. Around 40mph, in second gear. So I thought. I would, join in the fun. But with the active handling/ traction control on. The throttle just would not open, very fast. then with that mode off. I just blow the tires off, in second gear from 40MPH. The car has TOYO drag radials. They were what came on the car, when I purchased it. WHAT MODE DO I NEED TO BE IN? TO ROLL ON WITH MY BUDS? I am not sure, what the competitive mode does. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Competitive mode allows wheelspin, but keeps the active handling system enabled. This is the recommended mode for drag racing.
What kind of power is the car putting down? If you have Nitto drag radials, I'd assume they are either the NT555R or the NTO5R's. Either of them shouldn't have an issue below 700rwhp.

Thanks. The guy I bought the car from, called them drag radials. But I am use to running, M/T drag radials.

Since the Toyo TQ's are drag radials and they aren't hooking, they are probably heat cycled out and are hard. It looks like you need to replace them with fresh rubber. Soft racing ("R") compound tires typically heat cycle out (get hard and lose their stickiness) before they wear what little tread they have.

what pressure are you running in the rear tires?... are you immediately trying to do roll races with cold tires or after you have been driving around for awhile and they are warmed up?
