Nice pass! You'll just have to try different rpm's to see what works best and the track can change week to week, you have to be careful launching on drag radials though they're not as forgiving as a bias ply and you can break stuff

What would be a good next upgrade to be able to launch harder. Axles? What brand do you recommend?

It really just depends on how often your going to be running at the track, if just going a few times a year I would just keep what you have and just be easy on the launch but if going every week I would look into a drag pack with bias ply tires these will be much less stressful on drivetrain, then at some point you might want to strengthen the rear diff, a diff/trans brace will also help and it can be installed on the car, the stock c5z axles are very strong so no need to replace them

MPH seems low. What are your shift points?

Car has a lot more on the table. What was the DA? My bolt on c5 which dynoed 315-331 went 11.80@118. That was on Toyo drag radials with a 1.74 60', 6speed car wth 3.90 gears. Your car should be trapping 122+mph. What are you shifting at? Could be your shifting itself as well. My car dropped A TON OF TIME by practicing launching and shifting. If i was to do it again I would install both output shafts and a brace, and only run on a bias ply tire. How high you launch has a lot of factors. I was launching at 4500 rpm but I had a spec twin clutch. Having the raptor shift light helped a lot with being able to focus on my shifts instead of looking at the tach

Great advice.

How much MPH did you pick up with the 3:90 swap?

It's hard to say. Before I broke the differential my second gear was completely screwed and my shifting was mediocre. I think my best before I blew the diff was a 12.4@114mph. The gears made a HUGE difference, but you sacrifice a lot of top end. I was almost hitting the rev limiter in 4th going through the traps due to having a 6k rpm rev limiter. If you have no plans of going forced induction you would be crazy not to swap the gears, and like I said before at a bare minimum get the hardened output shafts in both sides and the brace. Ditch the nittos too, they're not much better than some of the street tires out there now

122mph is pretty optimistic, keep in mind that here in the Midwest we typically don't see some of the crazy negative DA that you guys on the upper east coast see. I'd be curious to know as well what the actual DA was for this pass?
