C5 plan
hey I have c5 bone stock . I’m looking forward to do a budget built. I would like to do around 425-450 hp . Can somebody give me a set up I should go with and estimated of how much it will cost me .

put a cam and heads if you can do your own work - if not you might be able to have a cam done and hit 400 if your lucky

well now, that's a different story. You already have exhaust so then $2500 should get you there.

yes, and since it's an auto the likelihood of hitting 420+ cam only are going to be challenging.

Best thing to do is save up for a Transmission build and a nice yank 3600 stall. This alone will net you almost a second in the quarter mile and still maintain good drivability, and will prepare you for a cam down the road.
