Best setup to run 9s?!? 6speed
Looking for the best setup reference to gear and suspension to put my car in the 9s. I’m getting ready to do a retune with more spray and should be looking at 900 to 950 wheel hp with new tune. Car made 791 now.
I didn’t make any track passes this year due to working out bugs all year but I wanna come out swinging for 2019.
My car currently has a built drivetrain but it has 410’s with 28in tall tire from the old setup. I’m thinking of switching to 342’s and doing some suspension upgrades (coilovers).
I guess im curious of what other guys run and works. I’ve had people say the car would only do 9.50’s driving it. I know it’s 6speed but really?? I plan on doing an auto swap down the road but wanna have fun with what I got before I change it bc I’m the type I will always wonder what it could have done with a 6speed.

Melting Slicks
What kind of 60 foot were you hitting with 791rwhp?
Is the 28 inch tall tire a bias ply slick? What is the wheel diameter?

Coil overs on the front are more important than on the rear.
Ofher than that, seat time. Lots of seat time. Just keep at it.
The C6Z trans/diff setup is a really popular swap. It’s a lot stronger than the C5 stuff
